Xiologix Employee Completes Avalanche Rescue Course

Senior Systems Engineer, Abe Covello, completed the Companion Rescue course up at Mt. Hood which included structured rescue scenarios in:

  • Companion rescue
  • Scene assessment
  • Beacon use
  • Probing
  • Recovery of victims not wearing beacons
  • Common mistakes in avalanche rescue
  • Single and multiple beacon search techniques
  • First aid and emergency response in avalanche rescues

This is another example of how Xiologix employees care.   We are proud of our employees’ continued involvement in their local communities.

Two Xiologix employees are now also on the CERT Team!

CERT MembersXiologix is proud to announce that two of our employees recently completed the Tualatin CERT Training Program. Account Executive Cathy Wurgler and Marketing Manager Dawn Woodward both dedicated over 24 hours as part of the nine week training program designed to help our neighborhoods and workplaces when professional responders are not immediately available to help.  The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is a way for people from all walks of life to learn valuable basic skills used during disaster response. Some of the skills include things such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. This is just another example of how Xiologix employees care.   Cathy and Dawn spent four hours out in the driving rain to complete their final this past Saturday out at TVF&R. They put out fires, cribbed and did search and rescue training. Read More

Xiologix Employees offered First Aid, CPR and AED Training/Certification

CPRLast week, all Xiologix employees were offered First Aid, CPR and AED training through the American Red Cross. This was a comprehensive, hands-on training experience equipping ourselves and each other with the skills necessary to recognize and respond in certain life threatening situations.

Xiologix strives to hire and retain employees who “do the right thing”. Being CPR certified and ready to help in emergencies at work and in our communities is something that our employees were eager to take part in. Christopher Kusek selected for Leaders to Sea Program!

Leaders to SeaChristopher Kusek is honored to have been selected as a Cisco Champion to take part in the Leaders to Sea Program.  This program, hosted by the Commander – Naval Surface Force – U.S. Pacific Fleet, invites influential leaders to experience time aboard a U.S. Navy Ship out at sea while learning more about the Navy story.

Christopher will likely embark on his journey in a Navy SH-60 Seahawk Helicopter in late March.  He will be spending time and connecting with with Naval leaders aboard the USS Howard (DDG 83). Read More

TEAM PLANET X USA / DOERNBECHER CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Xiologix teamed up with Team Planet X USA to Pay it Forward Holiday Style in support of a local family with a family member receiving care at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. On Saturday, 12/23, Xiologix joined Team Planet X USA in the delivery of gifts and more importantly in a demonstration of care and support. We would like to thank each of our employees and Team Planet X USA once again for getting out there in their communities and making a difference.
